Lead Yourself First, Choose What’s True, and Make It All Make Sense Again

I’m Wanda Re’Ginae
A writer, truth-teller, and the voice behind Herbossiness.
I’m also a line-dancing, novel-loving, travel queen who finds joy in movement, whether that’s an Orangetheory workout, a yoga mat, or a flight to somewhere beautiful.
After years of doing what was expected I’m in a place where I get to do things my way. But not everyone is there yet. I meet many people who still feel far from that freedom.
I continue to notice the same patterns — smart, capable people in caregiving roles juggling careers, families, and expectations holding it all together on the outside, but stretched thin on the inside.
We have long and deep conversations.
And I see parts of myself in each of them.
For years, I checked all the boxes: career, leadership, family, success.
From the outside, it looked like I was winning.
But on the inside? I was questioning myself and quietly asking, “Is this really it?”
That disconnect between doing well and feeling excited about it is what brought me here. Most people live life in hustle mode—making decisions based on expectations, circumstances, or survival.
Through Herbossiness, I explore what it looks like to step out of autopilot and live with intention — naming the questions many of us carry but rarely say out loud.
Herbossiness started as an expression of what I was thinking and feeling —
a place to say the things I didn’t hear anyone else saying, and to name the weight so many of us carry in silence.
Now, it’s grown into a space for people — many of them women, who are tired of being on the back burner and are beginning to question what comes next.
This isn’t about chasing more.
It’s about choosing better and moving differently.
So if you’ve ever asked yourself, “How did I get so far from me?”
You’re not alone. And you’re not too late.
Herbossiness exists as a place to pause — to read, reflect, and reconnect with what matters most to you.
